On the morning of May 13, 2023, the 2023 Sports Festival and Student Meeting of the Physical Education College of Taiyuan University of Technology was grandly opened in the East Track and Field of the Mingxiang Campus. Zhao Guojun, Director of Student Affairs of Taiyuan University of Technology, Song Yan, deputy dean of Undergraduate School and Dean of Qiushi School, Sun Li, Party Secretary of Physical Education School, Shi Dongbo, Dean of Physical Education School, Song Zhiwei, deputy dean of Physical Education School, Tian Zhongxin, Zhang Meizhen, and heads of departments, departments, centers and three offices of Physical Education School attended the opening ceremony. All students of Physical Education School attended the opening ceremony in an orderly manner. The opening ceremony was presided over by Zhang Tiwei, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the Physical Education Institute.
The Sports Festival, initiated by the School of Physical Education, is a brand project of the "Double Ten Project" of our school, Sunshine Sports - College Students' Sports Comprehensive Quality Development Center. It aims to build a platform for sports culture exchange, with a variety of projects, including sports students' professional track and field sports meeting, "Wuyu Cup", "Sanhao Cup" football match, basketball match, volleyball match and tennis match, campus dancing competition, fun sports meeting, etc. More than 800 people have signed up for the second edition of the festival.
