From July 15 to 20, 2024, the 22nd National University Athletics Championships hosted by the Chinese Student Sports Federation and the Chinese Athletics Association were held in Nanping, Fujian province. This competition has 5285 athletes and coaches from 438 colleges and universities across the country to participate in the scale of a new record high. The delegation of our school is composed of 23 people, and Zhang Tiwei, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Physical Education, is the head and leader; Zhou Wei, Wang Haide and Chen Xi are the coaches. There are 18 registered athletes and 1 accompanying team staff. Participating groups: Group C (Advanced Group), Group A (Sunshine Group).
In the fierce competition for 6 days, the athletes of our school faced the heat and high temperature, worked hard, fought bravely, and dared to surpass themselves, showing the fearless and vitality of youth, and achieved the excellent results of 1 third place, 2 fourth place, 1 fifth place, 1 seventh place, and 2 eighth place, and 6 people reached the national level athlete standard. Among them, Peng Yuan won the third place of women's Group C 3000 meters steepling-jumping and the fourth place of 1500 meters; Ming Yan Male won the fifth place of 800 meters in the women's Group C; Wang Tus won the seventh place of men's 1500m group C; Xiao Jiemei Liu Weiyi Ren Ruiming Yan male won the eighth place of women's Group C 4x400 relay; Xiang Yi won the fourth place of 800m and the eighth place of 1500m in the men's first division.
The competition is fleeting, sweat and tears, glory and applause accompanied, through the competition not only showcases the highest level of our school athletics, but also reviews the achievements of track and field training. Never stop dreaming and soar to the heights.
