On April 13th, our school and Shanxi Yahai Sports Culture Company held a signing ceremony in Shanxi Sports Center, and officially established Shanxi Yahai Taiyuan Technology Women's Football Club. This not only carries the excellence of our school in the field of football, but also marks a new voyage of our school in Shanxi professional football journey.
Li Chunmao, Deputy Director of Shanxi Sports Bureau, Liu Runxiang, deputy secretary of the University Party Committee and Cheng Zhongping, chairman of Shanxi Football Association attended the signing ceremony. Liu Runxiang announced the official establishment of Shanxi Yahai Taiyuan Polytechnic Women's Football Club. Cheng Zhongping said that it will do a good job for the team in policy support, talent cultivation, player introduction and other links, and will take the development of women's football as the key task of future work, so as to fully drive the development of Shanxi football in all aspects.
Our school has always had a deep tradition and a solid foundation in the field of football. As a strong team in the national universities, the men's football team has repeatedly achieved good results in the national universities league, and the women's football team has also shown good strength in recent years. In the 2023 Shanxi Football Association women's Super League, the women's football team of Taiyuan University of Technology successfully won the championship with its excellent performance, and won the honor for Shanxi women's football. The cooperation with Shanxi Yahai Club is an important step taken by our university in exploring a new model of college sports development and promoting Shanxi football to find a new power point. The two sides will work together to inject new vitality into the development of women's football in Shanxi and promote the football cause in Shanxi to a new level.
At present, the Chinese women's Football League has three divisions: Super League, First Division and Second Division. The Super League and First Division are professional leagues, and the second Division is amateur leagues. Among them, the women's second division league aims to discover and train professional players from university women's football teams. According to a notice issued by the Chinese Football Association, the Women's League B in 2024 will have no more than 36 teams, which will be composed of social club women's teams and university women's teams. The group stage was played from 20 to 30 May, with qualifying from 19 to 31 August. The club's goal for the new season is to make a full impact on the women's First Division based on the Women's Second League.
Shanxi Yahai Taiyuan Technology women's football coach Liu Yusheng said that in order to strengthen the overall strength of the team, in addition to absorbing excellent players from Taiyuan University of Technology, but also actively recruited a group of strong players from the community. The team will prepare actively and strive for excellent results in the Women's Second League, laying a solid foundation for the impact of the first League.
With the consent of Taiyuan Sports Bureau, on Oct 10, 2023, Taiyuan Equestrian Sports Association was officially established. The establishment of the association has filled the organizational gap in the field of equestrian sports in Taiyuan, and is of great significance for the standardized development of equestrian sports in Taiyuan, which is strengthening the organizational ties with equine sports organizations, guaranteeing the interests of equestrian sports participants, regulating the market order and behavior, improving the competitive level of equestrian sports, and promoting the establishment of equestrian sports associations in other cities and provinces.
